Ahoy hoy! Happy Saturday everyone!
I've been a lazy blogger but I am hoping to make it up to you today with a really cool post. Well I think it's cool anyway. I recently started playing around with frankening for my own enjoyment and to make stuff for my buddies. Of course, my husband couldn't resist a piece of the frankening action and created a little something himself inspired by a beloved Final Fantasy member/summon: Carbuncle.
Aka this little guy:

Side note: more than a few years ago, the DH and I were terribly
addicted to online MMORPG Final Fantasy XI. DH played as a white mage
but also leveled up his summoner a bit. As a summoner in FFXI and many
other iterations of FF, you have many summons at your disposal and
Carbuncle appears quite often in the FF franchise - not always, but he is
present often. I, on the other hand, leveled up samurai initially and
went on to take ninja and bard pretty far as well. But I digress!
Eventually
we were able to tear ourselves away from MMORPGs and we're probably
better for it. Though I have to say I do still get the occasional longing
to pick it up again. Then I remember what a huge time commitment it is
and get turned off all over again. It was like having a second "job",
for real.
..................................SO ANYWAY...... ;>>.>>
I have to say, I feel like the ole' hubby did Carbuncle justice in his creation. The polish features small-ish red and holographic teal hex glitters in a clear base. I guess I don't really have much else to say about this polish other than I love it because a) my hubby made it for me and b) I think it's gorgeous! Is my bias showing yet? Haha. Oh! I received a lot of muggle love on this mani too...go figure! It's never the manis I expect the muggles to love that get compliments. I must admit that I did swell with a bit of pride for the DH when Carbuncle's Ruby received compliments. I'd excitedly tell him all about the lady at work that loved his polish hehe. ;)
On to the pics!
Here's one coat of Carbuncle's Ruby over two coats American Apparel Hassid:

So how do you guys think the DH did?? Have any of you ever played and/or become addicted to online gaming or MMORPGs?
As always, thanks for stopping by! <3
